Van Dijk Rally sport is active in rally since 2007. The team
consists of driver Dick van Dijk, navigator Bert van Dijk,
second navigator René Broekman and fixed mechanics
Erik Kommer and Eltjo van Beek. In the debut year 2007
we did drive an Opel Astra Gsi 16v. In the same year un-
der own management a standard Opel Ascona B type
was fully rebuilt as a rally car.
The end of 2008, Van den Heuvel Motorsport a 4-wheel
drive rally car purchased, the Mitsubishi Lancer Evo III,
which was during their Netherlands-Rally. With this po-
tential rally weapon with 270 HP was in 2009 registered
for the Dutch Championship Rally sprint.
At the end of the year 2008 a 4-wheel drive rally car was
purchased from van den Heuvel rally sport and the Evo
III was replaced by a Evo VII. We also bought and build a
new service truck, an Mercedes Actros with a beautiful
and attractive and special paint a real show truck. The
first rally with the Evo VII was the famous Tank-S rally in
wich we ended 19th overall. The second rally was the
“home-rally” in Ede, the Netherlands, with 55 participa-
ting teams van Dijk rally sport finished at a very nice 8th
place overall.
In 2013 the team finished the build of a new Mitsubishi
EVO-X. The rally season of 2013 was used for fine tuning
the car and to make it run at its full potential. 2014 will be
the season that we all get to see the new EVO-X in full
action on around 8 rally’s in and outside the Netherlands.
(Netherlands, Germany and Belgium)
The team of van Dijk rally sport is supported by several
sponsors and companies for already a long time. Com-
panies that love rally sport and support the team of van
Dijk rally sport actively. In the summer of 2011 a new
and famous name was added to the list of companies
and Labor International with his head office in Ede, the
Netherlands joined the team. Labor signed a contract to
support van Dijk rally sport for now and in the future to
insure growth of professionalism and results both in team
and equipment.
Labor did choose for rally sport because both van Dijk
rally team and Labor share the same philosophy… “If you
do something, do it right first time”
